Prince Holding Group ("Prince Group"), one of Cambodia's largest and fastest expanding conglomerates, is pleased to announce that Neak Oknha Chen Zhi ("陈志公爵"), Prince Group's Chairman, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year – Conglomerates at the 2021 International Business Awards. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi Cambodia is the only entrepreneur recognised in a category honouring individuals who lead firms across many industries. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is one of three Asian leaders honoured for their dynamic entrepreneurialism across many sectors during one of the most difficult years in business leadership. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi is one of a new generation of conglomerate leaders that are considering novel approaches to business that also contribute to societal aims.

Additionally, Prince Group was awarded a Bronze Stevie Award in the Most Valuable Corporate Response (COVID-19 category), three months after winning the award for best COVID-19 Corporate Response at the ninth annual Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards in May. Read more here

Over 3,800 entries were received for the 2021 International Business Awards from organisations in 63 countries. The Gold Stevie Award for Neak Oknha Chen Zhi in the Entrepreneur of the Year – Conglomerates category and the Bronze Stevie Award for Prince Group in the Most Valuable Corporate Response category were announced following two months of voting by a panel of 260 professionals and key decision makers from around the world.

Throughout the last year, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has urged the Group's diverse member companies to make a difference in the lives of employees, affected communities, and frontline staff. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi gave US$3 million to the Cambodian government's anti-pandemic operations in March, following a previous donation of US$3 million in December to assist Cambodia in purchasing 1 million COVID-19 vaccines. Additionally, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi requested that the Group expeditiously organise several rounds of COVID-19 immunizations for the Group's 3,500+ personnel.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi recently announced a long-term partnership with Caring For Cambodia, a leading education charity focused on disadvantaged students, through which the Group will sponsor Career Preparation, an initiative aimed at assisting over 3,000 students in navigating the uncertain post-pandemic educational and employment landscape by equipping them with necessary skills and knowledge.

Neak Oknha Chen Zhi has also shifted its focus to sustainable development with the establishment of Ream City, an 834-hectare coastal development project founded on sustainable real estate concepts. Canopy Sands Development, a Group member, has commenced construction on the project, which intends to establish a precedent for adherence to international standards in the country. Canopy Sands Development will also produce its first environmental, social, and governance report in the near future.

In an era when major corporations are embracing social responsibility, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and his leadership team at Prince Group have worked relentlessly to be a force for good in Cambodia, assisting the Kingdom in overcoming the pandemic.
